Sets

Coordinated jewellery sets (Takım) – usually necklace, earrings and ring, often with a bracelet. The classic gift for engagement and wedding.

Composition

A set combines several pieces in a unified design. Bridal sets are traditionally 22 carat (916); we also carry 585 for everyday wear.

Occasion & bespoke

Sets are the centrepiece of the Takı ceremony and a popular engagement gift. We assemble sets to your wishes and advise on occasion and budget.

What a takım contains

A Turkish set (takım) classically consists of a chain with pendant, a bangle or bracelet, earrings and often a ring – matched in make, pattern and fineness. There are smaller sets of chain and earrings for everyday wear, and large bridal sets presented as a whole. 22 carat is common; we also carry 585 for daily use.

Occasions and meaning

Sets are the classic gift from close family at the engagement (söz and nişan) and at the wedding. They are presented at the takı ceremony and are at the same time seen as savings for the young couple. Smaller sets are usual at Bayram, at a birth and at Altın Günü. What is customary depends on region and family – our bridal gold planner gives orientation.

Composing a set and exchanging pieces

A set does not have to be bought ready-made: we put matching pieces together, add individual items later, or work existing jewellery into the set. Keep the case and the receipt – it makes matching the same pattern later much easier. Size adjustments to rings and bangles are done in house, see services.
