Gold bars or coins – which suits you?

Both are physical gold, both follow the world market price. The differences lie in the premium, the denomination and the resale – a sober comparison.

Bars: the most gold for your money

Investment bars are 999.9 fine gold with the lowest premium – the larger the bar, the closer to the pure gold price. Look for certified producers (LBMA) and keep bars in their original sealed packaging.

Coins: recognised and flexible

Bullion coins like Krugerrand, Maple Leaf or Philharmonic are known worldwide and easy to resell. Turkish coins like Çeyrek and Tam combine investment and tradition – ideal for gifting too.

Denomination: small or large?

Many small units can be sold individually and flexibly, but cost more premium per gram. A mix of larger bars or coins and small pieces is a practical middle way for many.

Buying and storing

Buy only from reputable dealers with a receipt, compare the premium against the daily rate, and keep capsules, blisters and invoices – it makes any later sale easier.

This is factual orientation, not investment advice – we are happy to discuss in person what suits you.
