Heirloom jewellery: sell, restore or redesign

Inherited jewellery carries memories – and often substantial material value. Whether you sell, restore or rework it: we help you find the right path, at your own pace.

Have it checked and valued first

Hallmarks tell a lot, but not everything. We test heirlooms free of charge and non-destructively by X-ray fluorescence, weigh every piece and explain openly what you are holding – with no pressure to sell.

Selling: material value or collector value?

For most pieces the gold value at the daily rate applies. Signed jewellery, antique work or special coins can be worth more – we will tell you honestly when a piece exceeds its melt value.

Restoring and reworking

Much can be saved: cleaning, polishing, new settings, replaced clasps. Grandmother’s chain becomes earrings for the granddaughter, two old rings become one new one – the memory stays, the shape becomes yours.

Practical notes on estates

No documents are needed for a valuation. For a sale your ID is enough; with several heirs, all should agree. For tax or legal questions, consult a professional.

Discreet, non-binding advice – you decide without time pressure what happens to your heirlooms.
